Aikyashree is a scholarship programme that was founded in 1996 by WBMDFC which is West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation. This scheme falls under the Minorities Affairs & Madrasah Education Department of West Bengal Govt.
Aikyashree Scholarship is planned to support deserving students who are both at school and college levels of West Bengal state.
Aikyashree scholarship program is operated and handled by the government of West Bengal to help the students of the West Bengal state to continue their higher studies in schools and colleges and over post graduation level and to avoid dropout.

Aikyashree Scholarship
WBMDFC Launched the Aikyashree scholarship program majorly for the minority students of the West Bengal state such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsi, and Jains of West Bengal.
Their main aim is to provide Students the Socio Economic benefits, career counseling, mass awareness, educational opportunities, and vocational training.
Aikyashree scholarship is one of the most helpful programs which are designed by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation that promotes talented students and supports them financially.
The Aikyashree scholarship is fully funded by the state budget from the financial year. Aikyashree scholarship supports the entire educational expenses and hostel fee of worthy students. The monetary help includes the hostel Stay fee and the fees of school and college education of the minority students.
Types of Aikyashree Scholarship
There are five types of Aikyashree scholarship namely:
- Pre Matric Scholarship
It is from class 1 to class 10. Its primary objective is to encourage minority communities to send their children to schools and educate them and prevent them from dropping out of school.
- Post matric scholarship
It’s from class 11 to P.H.D.
- Merit Cum Means Scholarship
It is for pursuing technical and professional courses to consequently increasing their employability potential.
- TSP – Talent Support Stipend
This program is under MA and ME Department of Government of West Bengal.
- SVMCM-
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship programs for Minorities.

Aikyashree Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Pre and Post Matric Criteria:
- A domicile of West Bengal should be provided.
- Student should be studying in a School/ Institution which was recognized by
the state Educational Board/ University/ Council/ of the State/ Central Government. - Students should score not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
- The family annual income must not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
- Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal are not eligible for pre-matric or post-matric scholarships.
Merit cum Means Scholarship:
- A domicile of West Bengal should be provided.
- Students should have got admission to a technical/professional course.
- Students should have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
- The annual family income of the student family should not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
- The students, who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, are also eligible to apply. They may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation.
Talent Support Stipend Criteria:
- Applicant should be a resident of West Bengal
- Applicants should have passed their last final examination securing less than 50%marks.
- Applicants should have been continuing their studies in regular mode.
- TSP Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing studies from class 11 and onwards to Ph.D.
- Annual Family Income of the student should be less than and equal to 2 lakhs.
- A 30% quota of TSP scholarship has been earmarked for Females.
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship programs for Minorities.
- The scheme benefits students of Class – XI and XII, and at the undergraduate level in Engineering, Medical and Technical / Professional courses besides Under Graduate, Post Graduate level students pursuing General Degree courses. These scholarships will be sanctioned to worthy students on merit-cum-means criteria.
- Students pursuing M.Phil courses and Doctoral courses (NON-NET JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW and NET-LECTURESHIP) from State-aided Institutions will come under the purview of this Scholarship Scheme.
- The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.2, 50,000/- per annum.

How to Apply for Aikyashree Scholarship Application?
Log in to the official Page – http://serv2.wbmdfcscholarship.org/students/student_registration
Step 1- Student Registration:
- First, visit the Aikyashree Scholarship official website.
- Click on the New Registration or the Student Registration tab.
- Fill out the registration form displayed.
- All the personal details like Name, district, contact number, email ID, bank details, etc. should be filled in correctly.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button and proceed.
Step 2- Scheme Eligibility
- All the academic-related details such as the current institution name, address, marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination, annual family income, etc have to be filled in this step.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button and proceed.
Step 3- Students Registration:
- After submitting all the information in the previous step, a list of all scholarship schemes based on the eligibility criteria is displayed.
- The applicants receive a temporary User ID for the application. Both the User ID and password will be sent to the email address you have entered.
Step 4- Students Login:
- The applicants should log in to the scholarship portal by using the User ID and password provided.
- Applicants should fill in the details under the ‘Basic Information and Academic Information section.
- The bank account details should also be mentioned at this step.
Step 5- Final Submission Online:
- The candidate should verify all the entered details and any correction if needed should be made at this stage.
- After verification, the applicant should ‘Submit’ the application.
Step 6- Offline Submission:
- Post successful submission of the completed form, the applicant should take a printout and submit it to the head of the institution along with all the documents.
